Little Shucker's vibe was charming! The interior is stylish and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a brunch date. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and although the place was busy, we were lucky to snag a seat. The service was attentive and friendly, which added to the overall experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Caesar salad, tomato soup, crab melt, chips and dip, bread and butter, cauliflower, and the whole roasted fish for four. My favorites were the Caesar salad, crab melt, and bread and butter. However, I was surprised by the portion sizes specifically the larger-sized tomato soup and the cauliflower dish. The larger-sized tomato soup we ordered was served on the same plate as the crab melt and felt more like a side than a standalone appetizer. Despite the smaller portions, the ambiance and quality of the food made the experience enjoyable. I'd return to explore more of the menu, especially because the place is so cute!
One of the cute photosque & instagramable lunch spots in SF. We loved their miso bone marrow oysters, whole roasted fish, Cesar salad & lavender yuzu spritz. Make a reservation as seatings can be difficult on the weekends. The only reason for a 4 star is because it takes a while for food to come out.
I like the crab roll and the salad with shrimp. Whenever I crave seafood, I find myself choosing this restaurant because it hits the spot. I especially like their salad because they make a good dressing! The shrimp to salad ratio is pretty good because the shrimps are large. The crab roll is well made because the crab is generous and the bread is not too big.
We dropped in here serendipitously for some happy hour drinks and snacks. The Chef's Selection oysters were fantastic -- $24 for 12 and incredibly fresh and tasty. The oysters were from Washington and had a wonderfully clean flavor to them. Their served with a delicious mignonette for some acid and a mouth-watering house-made green hot sauce. The baked miso bone marrow oyster is one of the best bites I've had this year. The bone marrow brings a wonderful smokiness that doesn't get too heavy and the miso rounds it out with umami that rides along the fresh brininess of the oyster.
The oysters were fabulous! We tried two of each. The inside was cute, beware it is small and they do take reservations. Honestly the house made cilantro hot sauce steals the show! I literally asked if they sell it (they sadly don't)
This place really does it and does it well! Is it the bright decor? The seafood drenched menu?? The incredibly welcoming people there? All of the above! Ugh, I've been twice and I just enjoy this place to no end. I find myself loving classics, trying new things on the menu and wanting to come back to try more things. Next on my list? Mussels! My photos show my standout options. The chips and caviar were OK; worth trying. Better with a group. I think next time I'd go for the lobster roll and/or the sashimi. Other than that - all of the oysters are so so good. My all time favorite are the Thai, bone marrow and garlic. Must try :)
The seafood was incredibly fresh, especially the oysters and mussels, which were my absolute favorites! The crab roll was also great, though next time I think I'd order it cold, as the warm bread and butter slightly overpowered the crab's flavor. The service was exceptional--prompt and attentive, with excellent wine pairing recommendations. We were seated in a lovely sunny corner, and the open seating that extends into the streets created a fantastic setting to enjoy the vibrant city atmosphere.
Came here for lunch a week ago with my husband. I wanted to try it since it opened but I didn't get the chance till the last week. In general I had high expectations that were not matched completely. I'm not saying the food was bad, but I was expecting more in terms of taste. We shared the tuna as appetizer and then the dungeness crab roll. For the tuna I think they exaggerated with the salt because I just tasted it instead of the tuna. The combination of the flavors was interesting btw. For the roll, it was good maybe a too buttery but I appreciate the big amount of crab. The service was fine and fast. I didn't try the oysters because my husband doesn't like them, but I can go by myself during happy hour :)
My partner treated me out to a light snack and the food was so refreshing and delicious! I was so tired and grumpy from the heat that I was feeling extremely burnt out but the cold and sweet kumamoto oysters woke me up. The garlic butter baked oysters were also a great pick too! I don't think I have ever had baked oysters before so this was a change. I still prefer raw oysters hehe We snacked on some roasted nori cauliflower and it was quick tasty. I don't like cauliflower because it's a bit dry to me but this was prepared nicely. My favorite dish was the yellowfin tuna crudo. It was AMAZING. I loved every bit of it. The ponzu dashi sauce was so savory and paired perfectly with the crunchy veggies The service here was super fast and friendly and I would definitely come back here again!
